Mr. Ajax McDonell

Ajax McDonell is a young jazz musician from Ocala, Florida, who is studying at the University of North Florida. He is currently sitting as lead alto saxophonist in JE1, UNF's premier big band. Ajax has been playing and studying various jazz styles such as swing, bebop, Blues, Bossa Nova, funk and more for nearly a decade. He has previously been featured in the Les DeMerle band alongside Dr. Bill Prince and Bonnie Eisele. He has also studied under the incredible jazz talents of Todd DelGiudice, Lynne Arriale, Dennis Marks, and Scott Giddons. Going forward, Ajax plans to finish his college degree and to continue playing jazz music professionally.
