The 2021 Valentine’s Love Notes an intimate evening of Love Songs and Swinging Jazz at Story & Song Bookstore and Bistro was a huge success. Both in-house as well as online. As a special treat we decided to share this event on YouTube, featuring The Amelia Island Little Big Band with the Dynamic Les DeMerle on drums, Dr. Bill Prince on Clarinet, Flute and Saxophone, Doug Mathews on piano and Bonnie Eisele, vocals.

Wow, we did it again! Another great Amelia Island Jazz Festival. From our Amelia Park Concert with the UNF JE 2 and our Jazz education presentations in the schools, to our Sponsors Party and our Latin and Big Band Swing nights. Marcus Glenn created the official poster artwork, “Festival Jazz,” for the 2014 Amelia Island Jazz Festival on Oct. 16-19 in Florida. The original mixed-media work created for the festival will be auctioned Saturday, April 19, for the Big Band Bash gala fundraiser. Park West artist Tim Yanke also donated two originals.

The Amelia Island Jazz Festival provides a rich, diverse cultural offering to the Amelia Island area by exposing thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds to the sounds, excitement and vitality of great jazz. The Festival presents world-class jazz in many styles, including swing, bebop, Dixieland, big band, Latin, and contemporary. During the week-long festival, held in October each year, music is performed by jazz greats as well as fresh, up-and-coming young talent.
